Wind power generation capacity in India has significantly increased in recent years and investments in to this sector is only by private companies. By end of year 2015, India had the fourth largest installed wind power capacity in the world and as of October 2017 the total installed wind power capacity in India was 32.72 GW, mainly spread across the South, West and North regions. Visualising the growth prospects, Sakuma had ventured in to renewable Energy in the year 2007 by installing wind mills in Gujarat state in western part of India.
